Thornton Abbey Maize Maze

Welcome to the amazing Thornton Abbey Maize Maze.  

This exciting summer event, running from mid-July to early September, promises something for the whole family to enjoy.   We planted the maize in April. It grows throughout the summer, during which time the maize crop is cut out and made into a giant maze!  

In the maze, you will be challenged by quiz boards for adults and children, which will also help you navigate. There are bridges and towers so you can get a great view of the maze. Again this year we will have two mazes, our main maze with nine question boards and our mini maze for little legs!

We also have a large open courtyard which features some quick six-minute mazes, a climbing wall, rest area with refreshments and the popular children's ride-on electric tractors. You'll also find a Nerf gun zone and a big shed with climbing  bales, air hockey, table football and table tennis. There is small cafe with a selection of hot and cold snacks

So if you are looking for somewhere different and fun to take the children this summer, we challenge you to conquer the Thornton Abbey Maize Maze.

Please note that during bad weather the ground may be unsuitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs and it is advisable to phone before your visit.

All attractions are included in the entry price except the small childrens ride on tractors.

Dogs on leads are welcome but please bring bags!
