LDF - Lower Drayton Farm
'Muddy good fun' on the farm - for the whole family!
For a fun day in the great outdoors, you can't beat a visit to Lower Drayton Farm. Farmer Ray and Val love helping families experience the great outdoors while learning about animals, farming and the role it plays in conservation.
Every summer, the Maize Maze adds another dimension to the farm’s fun family activities, with visitors able to take on the challenge of finding their way through paths surrounded by the towering 8ft crop.
When you’ve completed the maze, you’ll find plenty more to do - take a stroll through the woodland walk to enjoy see nature in all its seasonal beauty, hop onto the farm trailer for a fun & educational tour of the farm, see what flora and fauna you can spot on the nature trail and meet friendly animals before the kids let off steam on the adventure play ground with its swings and zip wire 'death slide'.
Younger children will enjoy the ride-on tractors and special toddlers' play area with sand pit, while there are often arts & craft activities for youngsters to enjoy. Pony rides, Llama trekking and other special activities may also be available, depending on the weather.
An on-site coffee bar offers drinks, refreshments and snacks while an outdoor food wagon serves hot food.
Lower Drayton Farm is open selected weekends from Spring until late October and daily during school holidays; gates open at 10am with last admission at 4pm (site closes 5pm). The Maize Maze opens in late July and runs until October. Access to the Maize Maze is included in Fun Farm entry fee.
